Equipment Purification

Purification Intro
Purification will result in change in the equipment’s affix type and/or affix stat. However, purification won’t result in change in equipment quality. And there is certain chance of failure for purification.

Required items for purification: one piece of equipment with an affix + Dragonshard.

An affix is either a prefix or a suffix. An item can have a prefix and a suffix at the same time.

Affixes have grade difference. Higher grade affix will have higher stat. The same grade affix will have a certain range of stats. Through purification, item’s affix stat/type can be changed but its affix grade won’t be changed.

You can use Dragonshard to change the target equipment’s affix type or stat. There are three types of dragonshards available: Lightless Dragonshard, Brilliant Dragonshard and Prismatic Dragonshard. The higher quality the equipment is, the higher grade Dragonshard is required for purification. Dragonshards are available from monster drops or trading.

How to perform purification? Simply enter a town and click the "Upgrade" button to bring up the Purify panel.

Before you purify an item which has an affix, the system will ask whether you want to reserve the affix. If you choose to reserve, the affix type won’t be changed, but the affix stat will be changed; if you choose not to reserve the affix, both the affix type and stat will be changed after the purification.

Examples
1. Change equipment’s affix type
Situation 1: when the equipment has only 1 affix

Take a green "Dagger of Magic" for example. If you don’t want the "Magic" stat, you can use 1 Dragonshard to remove the "of Magic" affix. Your dagger will randomly get a new affix and be added with the stat of the new affix, but the dagger quality will remain unchanged (the dagger color is still green).

Situation 2: when the equipment has 2 affixes

Take the blue "ManaDrainer’s Azurelight Sword of Luck" for example. If you don’t want the suffix "of Luck" but want to reserve the prefix "ManaDrainer", you have to tick the box in front of Reserve beside the prefix "ManaDrainer", and use 1 Dragonshard to remove the suffix "of Luck". The sword will randomly get a new affix and the stat for ManaDrainer will also change, but the sword quality will remain unchanged (the sword color is still blue).

2. Change equipment’s affix stat

Take a green "Azurelight Sword of Astuteness" for example. If you feel that the stat bonus brought by the suffix "of Astuteness" is not good enough, you can use 1 Dragonshard to change the effect brought by it. During the purification, tick the box in front of Reserve beside the suffix "of Astuteness", and after the purification completes, the equipment will get a new "Astuteness" stat, but there is a chance that the stat will reduce.

Dragonshard
There are three types of Dragonshards: Lightless Dragonshard, Brilliant Dragonshard and Prismatic Dragonshard. Dragonshards can be acquired from monster drops or trading.

Lightless Dragonshard , the lowest grade Dragonshard.

Brilliant Dragonshard , the second lowest grade Dragonshard.

Prismatic Dragonshard , the highest grade Dragonshard.

The equipment quality will be represented by different colors: Common (White)< Advanced (Green)< Rare (Blue)< Epic (Purple) < Legendary (Orange)< Mythical (Dark Golden)< Sacrilege (Red)

The higher quality the equipment is, the higher grade Dragonshard is required for purification. Listed below are the details:

Lightless Dragonshard can only be used to purify rare (blue) equipment or lower quality equipment.
Brilliant Dragonshard can only be used to purify legendary (orange) equipment or lower quality equipment.
Prismatic Dragonshard can be used to purify Sacrilege (red) equipment and lower quality equipment.

When players are refining, inserting sockets to or purifying equipment, if the target equipment’s level is 10 higher than players’ level or they purify equipment by using bound dragonshards, the equipment will be bound to their characters automatically.
